Scholarship Program

Two News Scholarships for 2019

 

1. Television Broadcasting Scholarship ($2,000) will be awarded to one student

Must have completed high school and have enrolled in a college or university that has a film and/or television production program of study. Must be able to demonstrate a planned course of study in a college or university that supports the intention to pursue a career in the television industry. Must be a resident or enrolled in a high school within the Heartland Chapter Designated Market Area (DMA): Denver, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita/Hutchinson, Omaha, Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Lincoln/Hastings-Kearney, Topeka, Grand Junction/Montrose, Cheyenne/Scottsbluff, Casper/Riverton and North Platte. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is a non-profit professional association dedicated to the advancement of television. It is highly encouraged that applicants be a student member of NATAS.

2. Television Production Scholarship ($750) will be awarded to one student

Must either be currently enrolled or have completed two levels of high school study in film or television production or have completed high school, and have enrolled in credit or non-credit courses of study in film or television at a college, university, or film production academy. Must be able to demonstrate a planned course of study in a college, university, or film production academy that supports the intention to pursue a career in the film or television industry.
